The Sliabh gCua Sessions was an amazing event that was run over 8 weeks during the first lockdown Ireland entered in 2020. It was an initiative that brought the local community and wider communities together with people performing live on Facebook each Saturday night. It was set up as we were all in lockdown we missed the social interaction of meeting people on a Saturday night and having a drink. During the weeks a fundraising initiative was set up in aid of Cystic Fibrosis and €5,000 was raised.
Drive In Bingo
The Sliabh gCua Community Centre has been running a regular drive-in bingo to raise money for updates that need to be completed in the centre.
