Sliabh gCua Farmhouse Bed And Breakfast Is Located In The Village Of Touranenna, Near Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.Sliabh gCua farmhouse bed and breakfast is located in The Village of Touranenna, near Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. Altogether a wonderful place with views to die for but come to Sliabh gCua (pronounced 'sh-leeve-goo-a') above all for Breeda and Jim, the most wonderfully hospitable couple. Jim, a beef farmer, is soft-spoken and humorous while Breeda, warm and full of energy, could talk about anything until the oxen came home. She makes her own bread, scones, muesli and jams, keeps her well-loved farmhouse clean and fresh, the roaring fire in the drawing room is gorgeous, the beautifully-laid-out dining room looks over Jim's fine lawn and outhouses ("the neatest farm we ye seen in Ireland", a visitor said). Breeda has cleverly fitted little shower rooms into the bedrooms without compromising their good proportions. They all have lovely furniture, tall windows, impeccable bedding and a heart-warmingly nostalgic atmosphere. You are welcome to play the piano, son Jamie may be persuaded to play the accordion, Irish-dancing guests have been known to tread the boards. This is a house of light and laughter where the shyest child will join in; there's even a treehouse in the much-pampered garden, which is even better than ever.
